Top End Terror presents TerrorFest III featuring Sydney metal warriors LORD, along with some of Darwin’s best metal and rock acts, including:

Hate for Fate, Vicious Apathy, Cain’s Plague, Sweet Amber, Calabria’s Fall, FEMA, Aborted Jesus Milkshake and Seed.

Saturday September 11 at Brown’s Mart Theatre, 6pm-midnight.

$25/$20 students. Licensed all-ages.

Sydney’s heavy metal masters LORD have announced their upcoming Australian tour, and will be performing in Darwin on the 11th of September – headlining TerrorFest III.

From the press release:

Melodic metal favourites LORD have unveiled their latest touring venture, taking them across Australia once again, including trips to the far north, as well as making their way back to Japan for the second year in a row. The band have also announced their latest EP release ‘Return of the Tyrant’ which will be released in the coming months.

Commented LORD main man LT, “We’re finally able to announce the tour dates for the rest of the year. This was a logistical nightmare with so many other high-profile acts touring Australia right now,meant that some places we wanted to get to just weren’t realistic this time around. This tour will also include our run of shows in Japan with DORO and Jaded Heart, which we’re extremely excited about”

“The other great news is we have a new LORD release out soon; an EP entitled ‘Return of the Tyrant’. Anyone who has followed our history knows about Dungeon, the band that spawned LORD after it dissolved in 2005. Dungeon had a popular song called ‘Tarranno Del Mar’ – a fun pirate themed song that LORD still enjoys playing to this day. We felt it was time to revisit the story and write the next part in the saga. The song ‘Return Of The Tyrant’ is full of piratey singalongs and is nearly ten minutes long, so it’s quite an epic! Apart from that, we have some cool cover songs and a whole bunch of cool interpretations of LORD and Dungeon songs, so there’s quite a lot of material for an EP. We’ll be revealing the full track list and cover art really soon.”

Darwin’s second TerrorFest showcase will feature EIGHTEEN local rock and metal bands across two stages within Browns Mart.

This will be an ALL AGES event with a bar, bring your ID.

Tickets available on the door. $15 entry or $10 with a student ID.

With very special guests GLASS CORPSE and THE DELICIOUS APPLESEEDS.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to TerrorFest, the night was massive and a huge success. The bands were great and made the night completely fantastic, with Hate for Fate working the crowd like pro’s, Zed Major finishing off with some classic guitar destruction, newcomers F.E.M.A. and Aborted Jesus Milkshake proving that the next wave of Darwin metal is sounding great, and everyone else playing great sets.

We’re planning more shows for the near future, keep an eye on this website for more info.
